About me
Hi! My name is Ruta and I am from Jurmala, Latvia. As at the moment I spend loads of time in office, I find travelling as a nice way to gain energy, learn, meet people and see places. Recently moved to Barcelona in Spain to advance to Master’s and get my Spanish awesome as well as take care of my urge to explore the world.
Over time I have nurtured some other interests I hold dear today. I enjoy to play guitar, flute and piano. I like to paint stuff. Active lifestyle, such as hiking, dancing and diving. Day without a 20 minute workout isn’t a day as well as trip just visiting touristic must-see attractions feels like missing something. I love to experiment and get to remote and less popular places. Recently coordinated international shipments for living. I absolutely loved my job because not only materials traveled, but so did I. However, it was time for changes so am now working on my degree in Supply Chain Management.
Life is a journey, not a destination – Ralph Waldo Emerson
This quote is my favourite and reminds to focus on doing what I like. In case I don’t I improve situation, change my attitude or if not possible I quit so I can enjoy the journey to it’s fullest. I will try to keep you posted!
I like to exchange stories and ideas, so feel free to Say Hi.

Nice to meet you Ruta. I’ve never been to Latvia, I hear good things about Riga. I’m enjoying browsing your posts. I have to admit I post more these days over at my other blog. It’s a place to come & Escape Ordinary. Plenty of Travel and some Street Art too. Pop over for a quick look if you get a chance. Cheers Saxon 🙂 http://www.thirtysummers.com

Hi Ruta, thanks for following my blog. I went to see your site and the first thing that opened up was a site that looked very familiar. Ha! Ha! We both use the same WordPress theme. For that reason alone, I have decided to follow you back. Just kidding. I don’t know much about Latvia and it will be very interesting find out more about life in your part of the world!
